These were the Best yet!!! I used buttermilk, and a little maple syrup in the recipe. I was amazed at how readily the batter thickened and the cakes fluffed up (unsalted butter in a stainless steel pan, medium to low heat). Served up with fresh fruit and a dot of butter & ample maple syrup. Delicious!!!
